Naughty Newbies - Part 2
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
New Orleans already feels like a city where you can breathe a little deeper, but add a massive lifestyle event and suddenly you have a real test of boundaries, energy, and connection. We’re Neo and Trinity, and we’re back home unpacking our first-time “Naughty Newbies” weekend with the stuff people don’t always say out loud: what got too crowded, what felt unexpectedly beautiful, and what we’re absolutely doing differently next time.
We talk through the moments that made the trip for us, like the early nights of dancing before the floor turned into a packed crush, the relief of finding quieter corners away from bar takeover chaos, and the simple reality that day drinking versus night drinking can make or break your experience. We share practical tips for pacing, hydrating, taking naps, and not trying to do 100% of the schedule just because it exists. If you’re anxious, ADHD, or easily overstimulated, we explain how to make an event this big feel manageable without shrinking yourself.
We also go deep on the dungeon and why it challenged our assumptions about BDSM. What stood out wasn’t shock value; it was intention, consent, check-ins, and care. We describe a hands-on “tasting” where we learn impact play basics with an expert, plus what we notice about trust and technique when you actually watch with open eyes. We round it out with theme nights, outfit wins, hotel and elevator logistics, classes that surprised us, and the moment we chose to walk away from a situation that moved faster than our comfort zone.
If you’re curious about Naughty In New Orleans, swinger events, sex positive travel, or how to protect your relationship while exploring, listen now, then subscribe, share with a friend, and leave us a review so more people can find the show. What’s your number one rule for staying grounded at big events?

Welcome And Adult Disclaimer
SPEAKER_00This is Unplugged and Turned On, where we drop the masks, challenge the rules, and explore what connection, desire, and relationships really look like beneath the surface. This is an adult podcast and is not intended for anyone under the age of 18. So if you're under 18, go find something else to listen to.
SPEAKER_02I'm Neil. And I'm Trinity. And together we're getting into the real stuff: attraction, intimacy, communication, and the moments that actually create chemistry.
SPEAKER_00No scripts, no pretending. Just honest conversations about what turns us on. Mentally, emotionally, and physically.
SPEAKER_02So go ahead. Unplug a little. And let's turn something on.
Returning Home For Part Two
SPEAKER_00Hi, this is Trinity. And I'm Neo. And I guess welcome back. Or thanks for sticking with us for I guess part two of our Naughty Newbies. Naughty Newbies. Because this is our first time. So maybe this helps anyone that's gonna go next year or in the future, like their first. I don't know. We're just sharing our experience, of course.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, and I just kind of want to lead today off with a disclaimer as this is kind of part two, but for our listeners out there, like repeat some stuff from part one. Sorry, that's my prerogative.
SPEAKER_00I totally can't remember what we talked about.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. So we're back home now, so we're kind of doing a little bit of a recap, I think. Um okay, so uh Trinity, I'm gonna put you on the spot. Oh um, what what was like some of the what were any of the highlights or takeaways for you?
SPEAKER_00Uh uh I think as far as the event goes, like dancing um is kind of pro and con, I think. Because at towards the end of the event, it seemed just like it got more crowded.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, because we danced the first two nights. Uh, did a lot of that, right? Uh three first three nights. Well, the third night is when it got really off.
SPEAKER_00It was just really crowded, could not move.
SPEAKER_01No, I think we got trapped on the dance floor, couldn't we get all the dance floor? Dance floor, like we love to dance, but I don't know. There was just so many people though that third night.
SPEAKER_00Which is great that people were participating, but it would have been nice, I think, if there was a just with so many people there, like another dance floor somewhere or something. Yeah, yeah. I don't know. Maybe it's different from year to year. Probably, but that was our experience. Yeah, we did not dance to last night. We'll talk a little more about that later.
Dancing Highlights And Crowd Crush
SPEAKER_00Um, another highlight was just the city itself. Yeah, um we both of us, neither of us had been to New Orleans before. Um, so it was our first time. And uh really enjoyed like the experiences, just like the vibe, the overall, I guess, you know, called the big easy for a reason, it's just kind of laid back. Really enjoy that um in the food. Like we didn't like real just because we're traveling or doing stuff, didn't like really pig out what like I kind of wanted to.
SPEAKER_01Um you can't pig out and and then feel sexy at night. I think that's one of the challenges.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. It's just like, eh, what do you want to do more? Like you gotta you have to pick. Um but we had some really great, really great food. Yeah. Um, that I kind of was in growing up in my household. Like, I'm I'm personally not from the south, but had some some branches of my family influencer. Um, and it just was like having real authentic food from the area was like, ooh, nice.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, that was good. Um, for me, I think highlight was um this the city was awesome. I think Bourbon Street to me, I don't know, over party, I don't know, like over touristy, um, but a really a lot of cool little places, little hidey holes.
SPEAKER_00A lot of hidey holes, yeah. Like you could just walk past it and not even know it's I think there's a lot there.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, absolutely. Yeah, it's quite crammed in. And I think, you know, with all of the bar takeovers and all of the events going on, you know, it was just uh I think plus the size of Naughty, um, which is really cool, but um, I think like we did one bar takeover, maybe two, like you can count the hideout as one, but it was really chill.
SPEAKER_00Like we attempted two others, um, but just overflowing or so packed.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Um, and that's not like our scene. Like, we want to talk to people and have a conversation, and that's like impossible. I don't know how people do it.
SPEAKER_01Right. And I think you know, it's part of
Know Your Style As A Couple
SPEAKER_01that, you know. I know we talked a little bit about this on the first part of the episode, but I think it's also just knowing who you are as a couple in the lifestyle. Like, are you the party loud person? You don't mind screaming um at people to have a conversation, like the bar takeovers would definitely be your scene.
SPEAKER_00Like they were really cool. If you're really like down to just smile and nod and not sure what anyone said, like, cool. Smile and wait that would just be me. That's me. Um, but yeah, for us, we just kind of pass by a couple. We're like, no, mm-mm. We popped in and popped right back out. Like, there's no way, there's no way.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. And I think the good part about that though, that I I want to bring into this is, you know, when I said like know yourself as a couple, um, you know, going into naughty and understanding like how big of an event that is, you know, I was a little bit nervous. Like, is this going to be way too overwhelming? Like, I like to push myself anyways, but is it going to be overwhelming? And I will just say for any of the anxious ADHD, whatever type people out there, like you make it your own thing. And we had a great time. And I'll caveat that like up front, we're signed up to go next year because we really had a great time.
SPEAKER_00We had a blast.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Yeah. We did not kill ourselves like trying to do everything. We didn't push ourselves way beyond our comfort zone just to go do a thing. Like we enjoyed the city, we enjoyed a lot of the food that we wanted to check out. We really enjoyed the dancing at night. Um, yeah.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, and I I want to say this too, because I just observed this.
Day Drinking Versus Night Drinking
SPEAKER_00Um, because we've been to a few events, different, different things, and we have learned um to pace ourselves with alcohol, uh, especially events that are like like almost 24-hour events, like over and over, maybe not 20, maybe it's like 18 hours where things kick off at like noon or something and go to 2 or 4 a.m. Like there's day drinking and there's night drinking. It's like uh we I think we did a great job of knowing ourselves, yeah, slowing down, taking a break, taking a nap, really hydrating over and over and over again. And then I I may have mentioned this, but I don't remember. But the event itself did a great job of having water stations all over the place.
SPEAKER_01All over the hotel.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, that was really good.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_01Um, yeah, so that was really good. I think, you know, I we'd heard that also on a podcast. I mean, it's kind of well, I guess it's obvious, right? Um, but the day drinking versus night drinking things, like there are so many things going on, and especially in New Orleans and Bourbon Street and all of that, like so many opportunities to drink and have fun and all of that. Um, and that stuff kicks off at like noon. So you kind of gotta figure out how you're gonna pace yourself to make sure that you can make it into the night if that's what you want to do. Like we would run into one one guy on the elevator, and his wife was already passed out for the day, and it was probably like, I don't know, afternoon.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_01And you know, you have a great time, but I think it's also understanding if you want to push through and make it do some fun things in the day and in the evenings, you gotta think about okay, so how am I gonna pace myself? What am I gonna drink? Yeah, yeah. I think the only time, you know, for me, um, that I drank quite a bit and enjoyed myself was uh when we hit up the Aaron Rose Cafe. That was really cool though.
SPEAKER_00Uh we were also there for multiple hours. So we were kind of trapped by the weather, um, which was kind of good. It was chilling.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Yeah. And I think um that's one of my pro tips, I guess, is uh if you if and when you're in New Orleans, definitely check out Cafe, especially if you're a fan of like Irish pubs.
SPEAKER_00It was one of, I would say, like you were asked like one of the highlights. Yeah, it was a highlight for us. So what was um a highlight that just stands out that we didn't
New Orleans Vibes Plus Feeling Safe
SPEAKER_00talk about? What was a highlight for you?
SPEAKER_01I think you know the non-sexy stuff is like the I really enjoyed New Orleans. I really enjoyed walking around, like because we stayed at the Nopsey Hotel, which was a few blocks away from Astor. Um, so we walked back and forth many times. We walked Bourbon Street many times, and um, you know, it is a downtown city, so you have people sleeping on the street, you have people, you know, drugged out. We got that in our own town. Yeah. Um, but I never felt unsafe the whole time there. Um and they had extra um some cops along the street, like in cars, just to help with that. But I don't even know. Like I didn't feel I didn't feel unsafe at any time. Um, walking back and forth during the day, at night, whatever. Uh funny note, like, I didn't know I would be this age uh wear wearing uh glow costumes, nipple hang nipple rings hanging out at Walgreens getting water at you know midnight. So that's fun.
SPEAKER_00We just kind of fit in and didn't really feel like we're standing out.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, but I think the thing about that still is like it is still New Orleans. Like some of like just what people are wearing. You have no idea if they're part of naughty event, or they're just freaking, you know, enjoying themselves and naughty. Yeah. At uh at New Orleans. Yeah. I really loved the um we're big foodies. Um, so I really did love the opportunity that we took to eat. Um, some highlights that I would say just food-wise, we stayed at the Nopsey.
Food Spots Worth Your Time
SPEAKER_01One of our favorite little places next door for breakfast was the Two Chicks Cafe. Oh, I love it. Really good food. A really good environment. Yes, and right next to the hotel. Yeah. Um, so if you're staff was great. Yeah. So if you're if you do go to New Orleans, if you do stay at the Nopsey, Two Chicks Cafe is definitely a great breakfast spot. They have lunch and stuff too, but we we just hit that up for breakfast. We left with a hat and shirt because I loved it so much. Yeah. Um, what else did we hit up? We hit up Redfish Grill. Um, that was okay. I think the drinks, the the they did have one of the best old-fashions I've ever had. That was good. The barbecue shrimp, or barbecue, yeah. I had the barbecue shrimp po boy. I had the shrimp were great.
SPEAKER_00Traditional Louisiana one.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, and the shrimp were great on yours too. The bread sucked.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I just ate, I just ate the shrimp out of the bread, and I realized the bread is supposed to be strong enough to withstand the sauce and the beating of the the shrimp, but eh.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I didn't. It was more like I don't know. It was okay. Because we had a few po' boys and breakfast stuff that I had, and it was probably the worst bread. But we also got some um fried oysters there, so with alligator chorizo. Oh, yeah, alligator triso. I like that. Yeah, I would check out redfish grilled. I would go there again. I probably wouldn't get the po'boy, but the barbecue shrimp that they had was awesome. Because it's not like what you would think of normal barbecue, it was more like it was actually like the guy explained it well because he said it's kind of like buffalo chicken style. And it was sauce. Yeah, it's very good. Um car cafe, that's where we went to get our beignets.
SPEAKER_00I had looked around and I that was like I cannot leave the city until I get a beignet. Like, yeah. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Well, we kind of knew what they were. I mean, yeah. Yeah, we knew what they were. We had them as Zipolis. You can have them as Indian fry bread if it's you know, just a different shape.
SPEAKER_00Depends on the region you're in.
SPEAKER_01But yeah, basically fried dough with some um powdered sugar on it. Delish. But everyone will say go to Cafe du Monde. We didn't. Um, I'd looked up some reviews, just stuff that we could walk to. And somebody was saying, Hey, yeah, I've had like the beignets everywhere, pretty much all over the city, and my favorite were at streetcar cafes. So I'm like, you know what? Why not?
SPEAKER_00And you had an amazing breakfast there.
SPEAKER_01Oh man, I had these that I kept having to steal some bites from. Yeah, barbecue, shrimp, and grits. And it again, it's not barbecue barbecue, it was more like it's sauce, kind of saucy, Asian sauce. Oh yeah, that was so good, and the grits were so creamy. I'm not usually like big grits person. I didn't grow up the sauce. I am, and I gotta say, that was good. Yeah, yeah, and you and the grits at the two chicks cafe are like very good, creamy.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_01So if you're looking for beignets, looking for good food, Star Cafe was a good breakfast option.
Where To Stay And Why
SPEAKER_00If you decide to stay at the Nopsey, which I I think we've mentioned, but we would prefer to stay there versus the Aster.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Um, it's the Aster is just beautiful.
SPEAKER_00The Nopse is gorgeous.
SPEAKER_01Oh my gosh, and our room was amazing. Uh yeah. We had a junior suite hotel, so we had a little couch and stuff, and I I like that.
SPEAKER_00In a refrigerator, you'll need to request a fridge.
SPEAKER_01Uh yeah. Um, but I that's if you like things a little bit um uh not snobby, but a little bit nicer, you like things a little bit quieter. Uh the Nopsey was peace, peaceful. The Nopsey was the place to be. If you were the party crowd, like 24-7's going. Aster is definitely your place. Yeah, yeah.
Elevators Playrooms And Event Logistics
SPEAKER_01Um some people that we had been chatting with ahead of time, you know, they told us I was like, first things first, like this is not what they told us, but like the elevators were full all the time. Like, so it would take you sometimes like 30 minutes to get into an elevator.
SPEAKER_00Someone said it, yeah, it took them 30 minutes in order to get in.
SPEAKER_01Like, we did not go to the playroom. Why? Because well, we we did a class in there, but we didn't go at night because like there was a huge line. The only way that you could get into the playroom, they blocked off the stairwell so you couldn't get there, so you could only take a uh elevator. And the elevators were so slow.
SPEAKER_00And one of them was out of order.
SPEAKER_01One of them was out of order, right? So we did not visit the playrooms at night because of that, but I think that's how the elevators were the whole time. Um, so no, I when we go next year, I'm definitely looking forward to staying at the Nopsey again. That does seem to be a place that they do every time. Spacious and gorgeous, like beautiful, quieter. They also have the dungeon there, which I'm glad we stayed at the Nopsey for that too, because it we are not necessarily that hasn't been an interest in.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, we're not big, we're not kinksters or in the BDSM world per se. Now more interesting, but like it gave us an opportunity multiple times to walk through the dungeon. Um there were there were classes there too, and there are vendors there too, like more geared toward that scene. Um, it just just being there just because we're sitting at the the hotel bar, like, hey, let's just peel off and go check it out.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Um, it just allowed for that, which was and it was, I gotta say, it was beautiful. It was the dungeon, which it sounds like such a scary. I just think that went dragon. Dungeons and dragons. I don't know. I've never played that. But just like it just seems right. You're just like, oh gosh, it's scary. No.
SPEAKER_01Oh, it was it was awesome. I still we never saw anybody in that cube though.
SPEAKER_00I still don't know what that is. Yeah, this cube in the center. I don't know.
SPEAKER_01It was a like a it was a three-dimensional cube, hollow in the center, but you know, all of the edges. It was probably, I don't know, three foot on each end, and it had some hooks, so it looks like you you would be um you know tied up or whatever, shackled in there, but nobody was ever in there, so I wasn't sure how they actually used it. Yeah, we did go the last night. You had mentioned like we didn't not go to the oster for the dance.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, we did it was I don't know. Did I oh yeah, I did mention that.
Dungeon Walkthrough And Impact Play Tasting
SPEAKER_01Yeah. So we actually did one of the tastings, is what they called it, where you could go in and explore.
SPEAKER_00It's like hands-on dumb, like you get to I don't know, what does that mean?
SPEAKER_01I think it's just you get a taste of what things are like.
SPEAKER_00I literally read the description, and I'm like, oh, there's food, right?
SPEAKER_01Because it's like tastings in the dungeon. But you're also like, I don't know that I want to get food in the dungeon.
SPEAKER_00And then I write, you said something about I'm like, oh, got it. I got it.
SPEAKER_01Right.
SPEAKER_00I'm I've just my I my mind grew a little bit.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. So we did that though. I'll uh you know, I'll I will share that with people here. Like, I am I like impact play. I like that for me. I think it does something good for me. It's not necessarily the most erotic, sexy thing, but it like it is very good for my mind and my body to feel that. So we went in.
SPEAKER_00There was from my point of view, I'm scared shitless because I'm like, I don't want to hurt. I don't know, I don't want to hurt. I also don't want to hurt to do it too.
SPEAKER_01You don't want to feel pain, but yeah, like uh you don't want to hurt me.
SPEAKER_00But there was an opportunity to have like an expert kind of show us, yeah. Nookie, and we had taken a class with her. And so we're like, yeah, sure, like we'll stop by and check it out.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. So I like bent over this bench thing and got weld on for a little bit, which I really enjoyed.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, Nookie showed, she demoed and um I guess did did thing on showing me like the pressure and and movements, just different techniques, and I did it alongside her. She would show and I would do, and we both kind of did the same time.
SPEAKER_01Right, and you could learn like how hard to hit, how not, right? Like how that felt to you. Yeah. Knowing that, you know, I would give feedback on if that's too much or not. And I think, you know, we've always joked around about that, just how hard, like I can't tap, tap, tap, tap, I'm because I am so pain averse.
SPEAKER_00I'm going to touch someone the way I want to be touched. And it's not, it's not helpful. That's not helpful, actually.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Yeah. But we had a good time in there. We walked around the dungeon, we saw some stuff.
SPEAKER_00Oh my gosh. I'm like, whoa. In a good way.
SPEAKER_02Breast in a good way, absolutely.
SPEAKER_00Things I have never seen before. And I'm like, my I'm telling myself, that's not what I'm seeing. It's not what I think I'm I'm seeing. I'm trying to like change it in my mind. Like, no, it must be this. And then I'm looking again, like, nope, that's not what it is. It is what it looks like. Like, um, and I I thought it was I I'll say this too. I am diverting. I'm gonna divert a little bit. So, this is a couple that we talked to at the hotel bar. I even they asked something about what was going on in the dungeon. I'm like, hey, just take a look. Like it changes all the time, just pop in. Um, but my and my brain says it's going to happen rapidly, quickly. What you see in that world, Kink BDSM is going to be quick. Like, I don't know why I think that because the movies, I don't know.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Um, and then you go there and it's slow and such intention, and there's so much care.
SPEAKER_01The care piece. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Slow checking care. And it's slow paced. And it's like, whoa, this is slow mo versus like what what you perceive. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Especially with a thought of just it being called a dungeon. But like people that are getting flogged. It's I think, you know, there's there is to me a tremendous amount of beauty in a lot of this because, you know, as Trinity was just saying, like the care that goes on. Like you think that the person that's whipping somebody is there to like get out their aggression. And in reality, that's the exact opposite. Like they're there giving the bottom, I guess, what they want. And they're doing it in a way where they're always checking in, like, hey, is that too much? Is that too little? Softly caressing while they're doing some of the vlogging. All of that stuff is going on, but you can see the amount of like care that the person doing the act to somebody is giving to that person.
SPEAKER_00It's so purposeful. It is. And there's it and something that I learned especially in that tasting with Nookie was um, you know, repeating. Did over and over and over to bringing the sensation and blood flow or diff different things. It's like, right. What so what you're seeing, like if you know what you're looking at, you're like, yeah. But if you don't, you're just like, hmm. Like this is boring.
SPEAKER_01Right.
SPEAKER_00It's like it's not boring. It's all intentional. It is. It's really yeah. I would it's very like, I don't know. Like, yeah. You gotta just know what you're looking at. And you don't know unless you get educated, which we are not still not educated.
SPEAKER_01We're not, but I think, you know, we're getting a little bit more, we're understanding more. I think even in the class we took, you know, I was in um in our somatica class that we took. We were I was in a class with somebody that did be a BDSM, and there was some conversation around that too. We had, you know, a BDSM instructor come in, and you know, I'd never really understood but just the amount of trust um that's built into those communities. Um, and I think that's an awesome thing. Like for me, again, when we went through the dungeon, um, when we were doing the tasting, like none of that really, I would say gets me off, like doesn't really turn me on, but there's just this level of comfort to it that I found very intriguing and and interesting. So I really loved it. It was to me, it was beautiful. Um, definitely some crazy stuff, and there still uh yeah, because it it's surprising.
SPEAKER_00It hasn't been normalized for us, right? So it seems crazy, but it's not crazy. Um, like it's just like, oh, we haven't seen that in in real life, right? Real time. Right. We've heard about it, or it's been in porn, or you just know what exists. And it's like, oh, yeah. Um, yeah.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Yeah. So that was the that was the last night. I want to kind of we're gonna bounce all over the place, and that's
Theme Nights And Outfit Wins
SPEAKER_01okay. I did want to talk about the theme nights. We probably talked about it a little bit in the first episode, but you know, I really do like those. I have found like it's it's can be a little bit, it shouldn't be, but it can be definitely stressful like trying to find outfits for these events. We've definitely built up, you know, things that we can use repeatedly, yes, a cash uh in our closet um of of uh yeah, outfits.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, which means that we don't have to buy as many new things all the time. It's we just kind of pick from the treasure chest. Yep.
SPEAKER_01The first night was the bordello night, right? And that's when you wore like really one of the most sexy things that um we talked about in the last episode, just the skin matching um bodysuit, which was so beautiful. Um I wore just my normal vest and oh you looked hot. Yeah. Um the next night was uh in the looking glass.
SPEAKER_00Through the looking glass. Um I love the create and I know I've said this. I love the creativity, it was cool.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_00For all the people dressed.
SPEAKER_01Cheshire cat the Cheshire cat, right? That was that was fun. It was cute, like pink, purple, all that kind of stuff. Put some whiskers on. That was great as always. And then the third night hold on, I do want to say like I don't want to leave that because it just hit my head. Like you wore these elevated um Mary Jane shoes, that's what you call them. Like I love it when Trinity wears elevated shoes, like the whole thing. Because I'm kind of closer to my height, it's it just changes things. It's so nuts.
SPEAKER_00It's funny, you kept looking around, and I'm like looking at you eye to eye or something close, close, and you're like, I don't see you because you're not the right height.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, it's so different, but that was awesome. Um, the third night was glow night. I had gotten you, but I'd gotten you a different outfit, so uh I think you like that one better. Well, what was a little disappointing was there wasn't as much like black light it black lights.
SPEAKER_00And the UV or the black lights in the dance area.
SPEAKER_01It wasn't a lot area. Like they would turn it on, turn it off. Turn it on, turn it off. And you're like, it's glow night, like blast the black lights. Like that's what we're here for.
SPEAKER_00That was that was kind of disappointing.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, but that was the first time you'd worn the new thing I got you, which I liked. So that was good. Um, but then again, that's when we went out to Walgreens afterwards, and you had already had your cover ups and I thought I because we uh every night I did have something to put over my outfits just to be just to get back and forth between the hotels.
SPEAKER_00Street okay, yeah.
SPEAKER_01Um and then the last night where we did not go to the dance was um masquerade masquerade night. We didn't even wear our mask, which that was okay because we decided like we didn't want to go over the Aster and deal with the chaos. I f figured the night before was so packed that the last night was gonna be even more so. And plus, we're probably you know, energy levels are getting a little bit lower.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, we were okay to we've we love to dance and we've we we've got that box checked, I feel like.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, but the thing that Trinity wore was just absolutely gorgeous. Now, we did get this excuse me, we did get this like cover-up thing to go over. Which was also that was the original. We you were gonna wear the little dress, which was sheer and just beautiful top you were gonna wear. Yeah, and then you were gonna wear like a thong underneath, but you wore the other thing that I got you from Honey Bird Dead a while back.
SPEAKER_00Gosh, it there's stuff. It was expensive. It was first to know, it was first to know because I'm like, what? What is a lot of there's hardware, people. There's hardware on it.
SPEAKER_01It's like brass or something, but it's metal.
SPEAKER_00But it's also very much like um, it looks more aggressive than it is. Right.
SPEAKER_01It's just for looks, beautiful.
SPEAKER_00Um, it is beautiful. Their stuff fits me like a glove. I don't know if they just yeah.
SPEAKER_01I I do want to put it just I want to put this out there like the honey burdette stuff, look it up, super crazy expensive. Like you can get uh 50 things off of Shein or Amazon for the same price that you're gonna pay for some of this stuff. Maybe that's an exaggeration. I don't know, but probably not. But it has like I've gotten Trinity two things so far, and they fit like nothing else. That's like they just hug me, yeah.
SPEAKER_00They hug my body like nothing else. Like there's not like this weird poochie thing in the top, or like my boobs don't really fit in the nope, it feels it fits like a glove.
SPEAKER_01Because Trinity does not have enhanced breasts. No, all natural babies. All natural. I love them, but you know, most of the things that you see online or buy are made for enhanced breasts, like yeah, they're supposed to hold bigger boobs. Um, and so there's always a struggle trying to find the right thing that fits for those. But the honey bird diet, the two things, man, they just I'm getting a little excited.
SPEAKER_00Like, ooh they are amazing, yeah. So um save up for sales, uh donate plasma, don't get rid of an organ, but they're expensive.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, they're expensive, but I will say people say, like, hey, get know when they go on sale. Yeah, yeah.
Bar Takeovers Foam Party Choices
SPEAKER_01Um bar takeovers. I think we mentioned we really only did one. I say we did one, but one was there's three basically three bar hotels at noon, three sorry, three bar takeovers at noon, three bar takeovers at like three o'clock in the afternoon. So there's a lot to choose from. Um, we did kind of look at going to one of the uh to the phone party because that's supposed to be a big hit, but the line was like stretched in both directions just to get in. Then we're like, mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_00But they once they opened, people got off the street and inside, but it's still how are you fitting all of those people in that tiny little place?
SPEAKER_01We talked to some people, I was like, Yeah, you're getting the bubbles in your eyes, and oh yeah, you gotta wear glasses and a hat or yeah. For us, we drink it. Maybe have checked it out for a couple minutes, but we would have left anyway.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, knowing us, but we had heard some other people, oh, it's my favorite thing. We're like, well, let's try it.
SPEAKER_01Again, that's us. Like, we're we are the I'll say, like, we're like the introverted swinger. We also know what we don't like. We like quiet, we don't like crowds, we like being able to have a conversation.
SPEAKER_00A little of everything, but we know what we don't like.
SPEAKER_01So if you're there, you like parties, you like all of that, definitely hit up the phone parties. I think they had like two um put on by different vendors, um, like Bliss Cruises does one and somebody else does another. So some of the big lifestyle kind of things, they will host a lot of these events. Um, so the one we did go to, we went to the Boot Scootin' Rodeo um takeover on Saturday, and that was hosted by Swing Nation.
SPEAKER_00So we met So we popped in and um said hi to uh Swing Nation, Lacey and Dan. Yeah. Uh that was nice.
SPEAKER_01We stayed there for probably about 30 minutes. Like it was really quiet early on. We got there a couple minutes before noon.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, we did do the hideout the day before.
SPEAKER_01That was really quiet, but that was a place you just basically go and get a drink or get some food. They actually had food too. Yeah, yeah, that was really quiet. They really had, yeah. So that was good. Um, I think overall, like I say, we loved the event. Um, we didn't do 20% of the things, you know. We did that, that's probably what we did.
SPEAKER_00And even though things that we kind of thought we wanted to do, we um kind of checked on them and I don't know, we learned like a little more about the event because you get a like a write-up in the app before you go, but it's not you didn't actually don't know what it is, but yeah, yeah, you haven't some idea, but then you get in there, you're like, oh, like the tasting, like I said, I was like, it's nothing to do with food. Like maybe there was one. I think there was one with food.
SPEAKER_01Um, they had some stuff cocking
Classes That Surprised Us
SPEAKER_01myself. Not there, but they had some stuff like sex with food. They have a ton of classes. I mean, I I think next year I would do some more. We did a nipple gasm class, which was interesting. I liked it, it was Dr. Stephanie. She does great podcasts. She does. Um, she's got ADHD. I got ADHD. It resonates with me a little bit, a lot of her stuff, but she does a lot of mental stuff um around this, but it was a fun class. Um, we did a dirty talk one, which was okay. We went into a um do-it-yourself bourgeois session, but wasn't quite what I was looking for, imagining. So we ducked out of that one.
SPEAKER_00I think like you just have to just go to a class and see if it like based on the title and the description, it I don't know. I feel like you just have to go to the class. Those are kind of yeah, the titles are misleading. Yeah. Um even the descriptions are like fully like the c sometimes the the c the teacher and who's showing up kind of changes the group.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, which is good, which is okay.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, it's like uh but uh there's some like I would like to do next time that I didn't sign up. We didn't sign up for like I would do the was it the blowjob class, like blow blowjob master class. Because there's other people like, oh, it was so good, like this and that. And I'm like, oh okay.
SPEAKER_01Um we did the ins and outs of pan sex with talking read read about sex, R E I D. Yeah, we talked about that a little bit. He was very good.
SPEAKER_00I really liked like I but even before I wouldn't, I was like, no, I'm not, I don't care about that class. But you signed up at the last second, went or went.
SPEAKER_01It was free, so they and that's what they have a mix of a bunch of free classes, and that's what the host Bob had talked about. He's like, we try to keep most of these free, um, but these guys are also coming in, they have businesses, so there will be some paid classes. The nipplegasm class was a paid class. Um, there's some paid ones that I would probably do next year. Um, but the free ones were good because it's low-key. You can drop in, um, see if it's what you like, drop out, or just hang out and and listen. Uh, we all always say, like, it doesn't matter how long you've had sex, it doesn't matter how long you've been a lifestyle. Like, all of these classes offer something that you can take a nugget out of and and help more sex life, make sex better, make your relationship better, all that stuff.
SPEAKER_00And maybe there's things that you you have heard before and they're just reviewed, and you're like, oh yes, right. Yeah, oh yeah.
When A Sexy Game Feels Too Much
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I think you know, there's definitely some stuff go to, but one of the ones that we had thought about going to and quickly said no was um it was like naughty Simon says it sounded really fun. We got freaked out, we honestly got freaked out while on the bus. Because, you know, I'm like I like the game kind of stuff. We watched, if anybody's ever watched it, swing on Playboy TV, like you know, fun games. We're like, throw some dice. I I've made a you know sexy Jenga game for ourselves, play card games, like that kind of stuff was fun because it gives you permission to do stuff. But this one we got on the bus and we're like, yeah, we're gonna go over to Naughty Simon says, and the guy was like, Oh man, it was basically like an orgy yesterday.
SPEAKER_00And I'm like, um, yeah, wait, we don't know anybody there.
SPEAKER_01I'm just not gonna jump in a room with a bunch of strangers. Um, so we we had gotten there, and then you know, because one of the classes we had done was on the playroom. Uh at night, we understand, like, go to the playroom, you can't wear street clothes. Uh, the class that we did, uh the nipplegasm class was in a playroom. Got up there in our street clothes, went into the class, got naked at that point. But this one was like, get off the elevator and get naked.
SPEAKER_00Dressed downright and it this it had a poster that said, like, as soon as you get off the elevator, like take off your clothes. And it's like, wait, wait a second. I don't even like what I was wearing was like this jumper, and I'm like, normal street clothes. I don't have anything under like I didn't wear layers, I didn't know if I'm playing strip poker, like right, like it was shocking. Wait, can I can I meet the people though? Can I see who is in the room? Yeah, uh, do I yeah, and so we just got like Russ, we just got freaked out for me.
SPEAKER_01I got freaked out because they said Orgy, like with a bunch of strangers, and that's not me. Uh and then Trinity.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I was talking, I talked you into it. I'm like, hey, we don't have to do anything we don't want to do. We'll just go in. And then we saw the poster. It's like take off your clothes. Naked. And yeah, and I remember listening to um Ed and Phoebe, and Phoebe had I think it was Ed and Phoebe, and Phoebe had said it once like they had gone somewhere and they were told, like, take off, like you have to dress down.
SPEAKER_01Right.
SPEAKER_00It's like, um, I'm not ready to yet.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, it's I want that to be my choice.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, that should be my choice.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, and it was, and we chose to get back up.
SPEAKER_00It was my choice. Yeah, my choice was like, no, I actually would like to see the room we're going in, the people who are there, expectation, something that was not I I that didn't meet me well.
SPEAKER_01No, and probably if we'd been dressed differently, like you said, if you'd been dressed differently, maybe that would have been different.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, if I was wearing like a bra.
SPEAKER_01We talked with a couple that we know, and they're like, Yeah, well, read who hosts that, you know, read about sex. Like he offers very comfortable, consensual environment. Like it would have been comfortable. Um, and and I believe that, like having gone into his class, I believe that he was very much embodiment, somatic, like breathing, feeling comfortable getting your body, but it's but just the the poster out before you even get to read yeah, the block. And I had wanted when we went to the hand sex, I talked about that. Like when we went to the hand sex thing, I wanted to ask him because the description of um Naughty Simon says it wasn't very good. It's like, you know, dress to dress down or something, but it really didn't tell you what it was about. It had no like nothing that gave any indication, like, hey, this is gonna turn into an orgy kind of thing. I I wanted to ask in the class, like, hey, what so what is this about? What to expect? Like, I don't like to be totally shocked like that. So we we left, and that was okay. Um, and I think that's a good thing. Um, even to highlight for others, is like you don't have to do a thing you don't want to do. Uh, feel free to leave. Yeah, you don't have to like don't get talked into something, no matter what environment you're in. Yeah, yeah. Take care of yourself. That's that's the that's the
Self Care Boundaries And Final Tips
SPEAKER_01thing. And I think that was a highlight for me for the whole weekend was take care of yourself. Uh do what you want to do. Um, if you're tired, take a nap. Um, and I would suggest that to anybody for any of these events. Make sure you factor in nap time, uh going back to the room, um, all that stuff. So, yeah, that was. Did we miss anything, Trinity? I'm sure.
SPEAKER_00Or we've said things multiple times.
SPEAKER_01I did, and that's okay because you and me talking to each other. Oh, Aaron Rose Cafe. We talked about that. Yeah, yeah. If you go to the Aaron Rose, definitely get one of the frozen frozen coffees. Yeah, frozen Irish coffees is very good. Trinity got one with whiskey floater. They're calling floaters, whiskey floater, and I got one with peanut butter whiskey floater. Screwball. I love peanut butter whiskey. Like, I don't have a lot of opportunities to drink that, but so that was really good.
SPEAKER_00And that's like the I I think it's like one of the things they're known for are their claim to fame.
SPEAKER_01Is yeah, the frozen drinks. We've talked to somebody who had what'd you say, like 20 cups because she gets them all the time, six in her room or something. And yeah. And you know, the I will say, at least for me, last closing thought, it was also interesting just to see everybody walking down the street with their purple lanyards.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, which is what we were issued, so you can wear your lanyard or not, but you had to wear them to get into the hotels.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, so everybody knows that you're wearing this purple lanyard, you're a part of not in Orleans. So, but there were so many purple lanyards on the street, everyone was wearing them to all the restaurants, and it was it was just kind of I think refreshing just to see people being a little bit more open, like hey, this is good. Plus, you're in New Orleans, so you're able to not be so protective, yeah.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, okay.
SPEAKER_01Uh I think this wraps it up. We'll come back in just a minute, close out the show. Thanks for listening.
Signing Up Again And Closing
SPEAKER_01All right, everybody. So thanks for listening to us. This was episode 11, part two, maybe mixed in with part one of Naughty Newbies, our experience at uh Naughty in New Orleans.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, we love we really enjoyed it. Um, you hear that it's gonna be overwhelming, but it doesn't have to be. You choose your own adventure.
SPEAKER_01We thought it was overwhelming. I thought I was getting into too much. We absolutely loved it. We're signed up for next year. Yep. So hopefully we'll see some of you next year. Uh, reach out to us, Neo and Trinity. Reach out to us on the podcast as well. With that, I'm Neo.
